My New Dish Storage...

I went shopping today at my local Joann Fabric store and found these cute containers and immediately thought of extra storage for dishes! They had wicker baskets on sale for half off but none were large enough to store chargers, etc. I plan on replacing the red ribbon with burgundy, or maybe lime green for accent. They will go on top of the refrigerator so I wanted something decorative but not super fancy. They will work for now. :) The smaller one could hold all sorts of things, such as napkin rings, extra knife rests, napkins, and silverware. It isn't round so it isn't quite large enough for dessert plates. I should have no trouble filling them up!

  3. What a fantastic idea! I've got a few that actually hold hats, but this would be perfect for chargers, placemats, dishes, napkins. So glad you stopped by my blog or I would never have seen this! Glad you were 'thinking outside the box!' Nancy

  5. Nancy Jane, and Chandy.... thanks so much for stopping by! The large round one works so well for the chargers but being these are made of cardboard, they can't be lifted up so you would have to be careful about that. I have a nice folding step-stool so I will have easy access to the dishes. BUT...I STILL need more storage! :)

  6. I wanted to say when the large box is full, it can't be lifted unless the bottom is supported. I started to lift it down, then thought "oh no, can't do that without the bottom falling out!"
